1 lb. hamburger
2 cups water
2 tsp. salt
6 cups unpeeled apples, diced
1/2 lemon, grated rind and juice
1/2 orange, grated rind and juice
2 cups raisins
2 1/2 cups sugar
2 Tbsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. nutmet
3/4 cup vinegar (sweet pickle juice is good)

Directions:
Directions:
Boil together the hamburger, water and salt for 30 minutes. Add the apples, lemon, orange, raisins, sugar, spices and vinegar. Cook, combined with the hamburger mix, slowly for another 30 minutes. Freeze. This makes 4 or 5 pies.
