1/2 cup butter
2 cups water
2 cups flour
1/2 tsp salt
5 eggs

Directions:
Directions:
In medium size kettle, put the water, butter and salt, bring to a boil and add 2 cups flour-stirring constantly about 2 minutes- dough will be quite stiff. Push dough to sides of kettle to allow to cool. Add 5 eggs , one at a time. Can use electric mixer, stir till smooth. Drop into soup broth by 1/2 TBSP full. Have broth at light boil. After dumplings are in, cover and watch closely, cook about 10 minutes until done. If they boil to hard, dumplings will be mashed. Can make half recipe -use 2 large eggs or 3 small eggs
