2 1/2 cup flour
1 tsp salt
1/2 cup unsalted butter cut into pieces and chilled
1/2 cup solid vegetable shortening, cut into pieces and chilled
6-7 TBSP cold water

Directions:
1. Mix flour with walt in bowl
2. With pastry blender or finger tips, rub butter and shortening into flour mixture until texture of coarse meal
3. Gradually add water, tossing with fork, until mixture begins to mass together
4. Divide dough into half, shape and flatten into disks. Wrap in plastic wrap. Refrigerate until well chilled, about 30 minutes
Food Processor Method: Combine flour and salt in food processor. Pulse with on and off motion just to mic. Add butter and shortening. Whirl until texture of coarse meal, about 30 seconds. With machine running, add water in a slow and steady stream just until mixture beings to mass together.
* For a even flakier crust, substitute additional shortening for the butter
