2 1/4 cup chocolate wafer cookie crumbs(divided)
1/2 cup sugar(divided)
1/2 cup butter ,melted
8 ounces soft cream cheese
12 ounces cool whip topping
2 cups boiling water
1 package (8 serving) or 2 (4 serving) jello( use color to fit the occasion)
1/2 cup cold water
ice cubes
can put candy on top for decoration

Mix 2 cups of the cookie crumbs, 1/4 cup sugar and butter in 9x13 pan . Press on bottom and refrigerate. Beat cream cheese and remaining 1/4 cup sugar until smooth. Stir in 1/2 of the whipped topping. Spread over crust. Stir boiling water into jello until dissolved. Mix cold water and ice to make 1 1/2 cup. Stir into jello until slightly thick. Remove any remaining ice. Spoon over cream cheese layer. Refrigerate 3 hours. Spread remaining whipped topping over jello. Sprinkle with remaining cookie crumbs
