Ingredients:
Ingredients:
Pour the following into a blender:

1 3/4 cups (a 12-ounce can) frozen pineapple juice concentrate (note: I've also tried this with frozen pineapple-orange juice concentrate, and it's just as good!)

1/4 cup granulated sugar

1 1/2 cups whole milk

2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract

1/2 cup fat-free or regular half-and-half

Directions:
Directions:
Pour the mixture into an ice cream maker and follow instructions. Note, every ice cream maker is different. Some require hand cranking. Others have a motorized paddle. Some require you to pack the canister with ice. Others require you to freeze the canister for 8-12 hours before using. Still others (the most expensive) have a refrigeration unit built right into the ice cream maker. Just follow the instructions for your specific ice cream maker until you end up with ice cream in that soft-serve, slushy stage!
It took about 25 minutes to get the right consistency. At this point, the mixture was much thicker and able to hold its shape for more than a few seconds. Because of all the air mixed in, it had also gained a lot of volume.
