1 c soft butter
1/2 c sifted confectioners sugar
1 tsp vanilla
Mix thoroughly

2 1/4 c sifted flour1/4 tsp salt
3/4 cup finely chopped walnuts
Add to butter mixture

about 2 more cups confectioners sugar for rolling
Directions:
Directions:
Chill dough at least 1 hour. Roll into 1" balls. Place on ungreased cookie sheet and bake till set, not till brown. takes about 10 minutes in 400º oven.
While still warm roll in confectioners sugar. cool then roll again.
