2 slices fresh white bread
1/4 cup milk
3 tbsp. butter
1/2 c finely chopped onion
pinch of salt
3/4 lb ground chuck
3/4 lb ground pork
2 large egg yolks
1/2 tsp ground pepper
1/4 tsp ground allspice
1/4 tsp ground nutmeg
1/4 cup flour
3 cups beef broth
1/4 cup heavy cream

Directions:

Preheat oven to 200º .
Tear bread into pieces and place in small bowl with milk. Set aside. Melt butter in a 12 " pan. Add onion and pinch of salt. Cook till onions are soft. Remove from heat. Combine bread and milk mixture in bowl, add ground chuck, pork, and egg yolks. Sprinkle in salt, pepper, allspice, nutmeg and onion. Mix with blender for 2 minutes. Form small balls. Heat remaining butter and add meatballs. Saute to golden brown. About 10 minutes. Place them on a cookie sheet and place in warmed oven. Add flour to skillet. Whisk until browned. About 2 minutes. Gradually add beef stock and whisk until thick. Add cream and stir gravy. Place warmed meatballs in gravy and serve.
