2 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
1/2 c. vegetable shortening
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. ground cloves
1/2 tsp. all spice
3/4 tsp.salt
2 c. sugar
1 c. applesauce
1/2 c. mashed bananas
2 eggs
1/2 c. chopped nuts
3/4 c. raisins
powdered sugar
1/2 c. water

Directions:
Directions:
Mix flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, ground cloves, all spice, and salt well in a large bowl. Add 1/2 cup water, shortening, applesauce and bananas. Beat at a medium speed. Stir in nuts and raisins and pour into 13 x 9 x 2-inch pan lined on bottom with waxed paper. Bake at 350 degrees for approximately 45 minutes. Turn right side up while still warm and sprinkle with powdered sugar.
