2 lbs ground beef
1 cup tomato sauce
3/4 cup uncooked oats
1 egg, beaten
1/4 cup chopped onion
1 teaspoon salt

Directions:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Combine all ingredients, mix well. Bake at 350 degrees for one hour. For hamburgers, omit egg, reduce tomato sauce to 1/2 cup. Press into 8 patties.

I often made this with the meat, oats and a jar of pasta sauce. I think the onions made this dish but Jessy & Grandpa disagreed so I usually made 2 small meatloaves and put twice as many onions in mine. Cut the onions really large and saute' them first for the best meatloaf ever!
