2 2/3 c. flaked coconut
2/3 c. sugar
1/4 c. four
1/4 tsp. salt
4 egg whites
1 tsp. almond extract
1 c. chopped almonds

Directions:
Directions:
Combine coconut, sugar, flour and salt in a mixing bowl. Stir in egg whites and almond extract. Stir in almonds; mix well. Drop teaspoonful of cookie dough onto a greased cookie sheet. Garnish cookies with candied cherries cut in halves.

Bake at 325 º for 20-25 minutes, or until tops are golden brown. Remove from cookie sheets immediately and cool on wire racks.
