1 cup soft butter
1/2 c. powdered sugar + 1 cup for rolling cookies in later
1 tsp. vanilla
2 1/4 c. flour
1/4 tsp salt
3/4 c. chopped pecans

Directions:
Directions:
Mix thoroughly in bowl (with electric mixer) 1 cup soft butter, 1/2 c. powdered sugar and 1 tsp. vanilla.

Sift together 2 1/2 c. flour and 1/4 tsp. salt. Stir into butter mixture on low speed., Fold in chopped pecans. Chill dough 1 hour.

Roll dough into 1" balls and place onto an ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 350º until set but not browned, about 7-8 minutes. Remove from oven and while warm, roll cookies in powdered sugar. After they've cooled, roll in powdered sugar again. Store in airtight container.
