1/2 c granulated sugar
1/2 c packed brown sugar
1/2 c shortening
1/2 c peanut butter
1 egg
1 1/4 c all-purpose flour
3/4 tsp baking soda
3/4 tsp baking powder
1/4 tsp salt
For Peanut Butter Blossom Cookies unwrapped Hershey kisses
Granulated sugar for rolling

Directions:
Directions:
Mix sugar, shortening, peanut butter and egg
Stir in flour, baking soda, baking powder and salt
Cover and refrigerate at least 3 hours

Heat oven 375º
Shape dough into 1 1/4 inch balls. Place 3 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheet. Flatten in crisscross pattern with fork dipped in flour. Bake until set but not hard, about 10 minutes. Cool slightly before removing from cookie sheet

Hershey Kiss Peanut Butter Cookies (Blossom Cookies)
Shape dough in 1 inch balls roll in granulated sugar
Place on ungreased cookie sheet 2 inches apart
Bake 8-10 minutes until are light golden brown, remove from oven
Immediately press Hershey kiss in middle of cookie
Remove from cookie sheet to cooling rack.
