1 lb pea beans ( navy beans?)
3 onions cut in half
1/4 c. bacon fat
2 - 1 inch pieces of salt pork
1/2 box brown sugar
a little salt

Directions:
Directions:
Cover beans with water & soak over night
Pour off water & Look them over
Boil the beans until they crack
Preheat oven to 450º
In a pan, mix all the rest of the ingredients then cover with water & bake 2 1/2 to 3 hours
