1 large can diced tomatoes
1 cup sugar
1 cup vinegar
1 large bell pepper, chopped
1 large onion, chopped
1 t salt
˝ teaspoon each—allspice, cloves, pepper, red pepper (if desired

Directions:

Put all together in heavy boiler. Cook slowly until thick. (Nancy said she lets it cook
for hours.) It will thicken a little as it cools

This is great on peas. Lynette Robinson says her family uses it on roast beef sandwiches. (Nancy Alford and Lynette Robinson are in my First Ladies Sunday School Class.) Lynette is the mother of Stuart Robinson who was in Chris' class.
