2 cups whole yellow peas
Pork Hocks
Approximately 6 cups water
1 small onion, chopped
salt and pepper

Directions:
Directions:
Soak peas overnight. In the morning, cover with water and cook until tender. Skim to remove skins from peas. Meanwhile, cook broth by covering meat with water. Add seasonings and onion and cook until tender. Remove meat from broth and strain. Add cooked peas to strained broth and cook until peas are tender. Add meat from pork hocks.
