Ingredients:  
3 large onions
1 large green peppers (optional)
1 lb. ground beef
2 c tomatoes (16-oz can)
⅓ c uncooked rice
1 t chili powder
2 t salt
⅛ t pepper
4 slices American cheese

Directions:
Directions:
Brown hamburger in oil
Add onions (cut in rings) and green pepper
Cook until onions are pale yellow, not brown
Stir in remaining ingredients except cheese
Cook slowly for about 10 minutes
Pour in greased casserole dish
Cover, and bake at 350˚F for 1 hour
Put cheese on top, and return to oven to melt cheese
