Ingredients:
Ingredients:
1 whole chicken
1 medium onion
2 large stalks celery
3 medium carrots cut up
2 - 3 cloves garlic
handful of parsley
6 - 8 bouillon cubes
1 large pkg. fine egg noodles

Directions:
Directions:
Rinse the chicken inside and out. Place in large stock pot with water to cover and bring to boil. Use a small strainer skim the fat bubbles from the top. Next put in all of the other ingredients and simmer for 1 1/2 - 2 hours.

Strain the soup in a colander. Mom picks the chicken meat from the bones and will serve it along with the cooked carrots for another meal.

Cook noodles according to package directions. Mom keeps them separate from the soup so each person can scoop how much they want.

Personal Notes:
Personal Notes:
After refrigerating the soup in the pot overnight, the fat will solidify and mom removes it. The soup always tastes better the second day.
