1 cup molasses
1 cup sugar
1 cup lard, or butter
1 tsp soda
1 tsp ginger
1 tsp salt
1/2 cup boiling water
Flour to make fairly stiff dough ( I used 4 cups)

Directions:
Directions:
Pinch off pieces size of marbles and roll in hands.
Bake on greased pan in moderate oven. (350º)
Note: The ginger isn't as strong as years ago so put a bit of red pepper or black pepper
