Ready to eat, hot, in one hour! oven 400

Mix 2 cps sugar
2 cps flour in a large bowl

In a small sauce pan
melt 1 cube margarine
add 1/2 cp shortening
1 cp water
1/4 cp unsweetened cocoa powder (I like Hershey's)
Bring to rapid boil and pour quickly over sugar and flour. Stir well.

Add 1/2 cp. buttermilk
2 eggs
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp vanilla
1/4 tsp salt
1 Tblsp cinnamon
Mix well

Grease and flour 9" X 13" pan. Pour batter into pan. Bake 25 minutes.

Fudge Frosting
Start frosting 5 minutes before cake is done. In a small sauce pan:
1 cube margarine
6 Tblsp. milk
1/4 unsweetened cocoa powder
Bring to boil. Pour over 5 cps powdered sugar. Beat well. add 1 tsp vanilla. Frosting will be thin. Add 1/2 to 1 cp chopped walnuts (optional)
Spread over hot cake. Place plastic wrap against frosting immediately to keep it from getting a crust.

Can be served as soon as it cools off a bit.
