1 12 oz package of bow tie pasta
1 lb sweet Italian sausage, casings removed and crumbled
1/2 tsp red pepper flakes, or to taste
1/2 c. dried onion
3 cloves of garlic, minced, or to taste
1 (28 oz) can of Italian style plum tomatoes, drained and finely chopped (kids like it pureed)
1 1/2 c. heavy cream
Parmesan cheese
additional veggies: mushrooms, peppers, asparagus etc

Directions:
Directions:
Bring a pot of salted water to a boil. Cook pasta 8-10 minutes, drain.
Cook sausage and pepper flakes until browned, stir in onion and garlic. Add any veggies of choice. Cook until tender.
Drain grease.
Stir in tomatoes and cream. Simmer until thickened, about 8-10 minutes.
Stir in pasta. Heat through. Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese
