¾ c sugar
¼ t salt
⅓ c flour
2 c scalded milk
2 eggs, separated
1½ t vanilla
2 medium bananas
2 T sugar
1 box vanilla wafers

Directions:
Directions:
Mix sugar, salt and flour. Add gradually to scalded milk. Cook 15 minutes in double boiler, stirring constantly until thickens. Remove from double boiler. Stir small amount of mixture into egg yolks. Pour egg yolk mixture into pan and return to double boiler. Cook for 2 minutes. Add vanilla. Set aside to cool. Completely line 7" casserole with wafers. Into lined casserole, alternately place layers of sliced bananas, custard and wafers. Finish with custard. Top with meringue. Bake 15 minutes according to directions for meringue.
