30 vanilla wafers, crushed
¼ lb. butter or oleo
¾ c sugar
2 egg yolks
2 egg whites
1 small can crushed pineapple
2 t lemon jello
1 c chopped pecans

Directions:
Directions:
Crush vanilla wafers and line a pan with ½ of the crumbs. Cream butter or oleo with sugar. Add two beaten egg yolks. Drain crushed pineapple juice into small sauce pan. Heat the juice. Dissolve lemon jello in the juice. Cool. When thick like syrup, add butter, sugar and egg mixture. Then add drained pineapple and chopped pecans. Beat egg whites and fold into mixture. Put in wafer-lined pan. Top with other half of vanilla wafer crumbs. Refrigerate overnight.
