3 eggs, well beaten
1 c sugar
1 c flour, sifted
1 t baking powder
1 T hot water
1 c walnuts, chopped
1 c dates, chopped
1 t vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Sift flour and baking powder together. Cream butter. Add sugar gradually and cream together until light and fluffy. Add eggs; then add water and flour, beating until smooth. Add nuts and dates. Turn into two 8" x 8" x 2" greased pans, spreading dough out very thin. Bake at 325°F for 30 minutes. Cool and cut into 1" x 2" strips. Remove from pan and dust with powdered sugar.
