1/4 cup dark brown sugar, packed
2 tablespoons sugar
1/4 cup water
1/4 teaspoon ginger
1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
1/4 teaspoon cloves
1/2 teaspoon allspice
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1 1/2 cup pumpkin (canned puree or homemade)

Directions:
Directions:
Combine the two sugar, water, spices in a 4-cup glass measure. Mix well on high for three minutes; stir. Add pumpkin and mix well on high for five minutes. Let cool and refrigerate. Keeps for several weeks and can be frozen. Use this like you would apple butter or add to whipped cream to garnish a pumpkin pie.
