Whole fryer chicken
salt and pepper to taste
1 medium onion, chopped
baby carrots
1 chicken bullion cube

Dumplings:
1 1/2 c. flour
2 tsp baking powder
3/4 tsp salt
Crisco shortening
3/4 c. milk

Directions:
Directions:
Cut up chicken and place in a stock pot. Add carrots. Cover chicken with water. Add salt and pepper, onion and chicken bullion.

Cook till chicken is tender and easily removes from the bone. Shred chicken, removing from bone and return to the stock pot.

For Dumplings:

Mix together flour, baking powder, and salt. Cut in 3 tbsp. shortening. Stir in milk.

Boil 10 minute, simmer 10 more till done.
