1/3 c veg oil
2 squares unsweetened chocolate
Sift:
¾ c flour
1/8 tsp salt
½ tsp baking powder
Beat 2 eggs and add 1 cup sugar gradually
½ c chopped walnuts.
1 ½ c icing sugar
1/8 tsp salt
2 ¼ TBSP cocoa
2 ¼ TBSP very soft butter or margarine
2 ¼ TS warm, strong coffee
½ tsp vanilla
¼ c chopped nuts, optional

(Double for 9x13 pan)
Melt:
1/3 c veg oil
2 squares unsweetened chocolate
Sift:
¾ c flour
1/8 tsp salt
½ tsp baking powder
Beat 2 eggs and add 1 cup sugar gradually
Add melted shortening and chocolate then alternately ½ c milk with dry ingredients Add 1 tsp vanilla and ½ c chopped walnuts.
Grease and flour pan. 8x8 or 9x9 pan.
Bake 35 minutes (plus or minus) in 350 F oven.

Fudge Topping (Icing)
Enough for 9x13 (=double recipe)
1 ½ c icing sugar
1/8 tsp salt
2 ¼ TBSP cocoa
2 ¼ TBSP very soft butter or margarine
2 ¼ TS warm, strong coffee
½ tsp vanilla
¼ c chopped nuts, optional
Measure all ingredients except walnuts into mixing bowl. Stir until well blended. Spread over brownies. Top with nuts.
