2 cup halved red candied cherries
½ cup flour
½ cup slivered almonds, toasted
1 cup butter
1 cup sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. almond extract
4 eggs
1½ cup flour
2 tsp. baking powder
½ tsp. salt
⅓ cup milk

Directions:
Directions:
Combine cherries, almonds and ½ cup flour in bowl. Mix until fruit is well coated. Set aside.

Cream butter, sugar and flavorings until light and fluffy. Add eggs one at a time.

Combine remaining flour, baking powder and salt. Add dry ingredients to creamed mixture alternately with milk (start and end with dry ingredients).Stir in floured fruit and nuts.

Spread batter into greased and floured Bundt pan. Bake at 300ºF for 55-65 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.

Cool cake in pan 10 minutes then turn out onto wire rack to cool completely. Wrap cooled cake in aluminum foil and store in cool place for several days to allow cake to ripen.
