½ cup Crisco
1 stick butter or margarine
1 cup white sugar
1 cup brown sugar
2 eggs
3 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon salt
1 cup nuts
1 teaspoon vanilla
Directions:
Directions:
Cream shortening and butter, adding sugar gradually. Beat in eggs. Add flour (soda & salt added in). Add flavoring and nuts. Form into 3 rolls. Chill overnight. Slice & bake at 350' for 10 to 12 minutes. Use self-rising flour when kneading dough.
