1/4 stick butter
2/3 C. brown sugar
1 can slices of pineapple
cherries
1 1/3 C. flour
1 C. sugar
3/4 C. milk
1 egg
1/3 C. shortening
1/2 tsp.salt
1/2 tsp. baking powder

Directions:
Directions:
Melt butter in a round cake pan. Spread the brown sugar over the butter. Place pineapple slices over the sugar and put cherries in the middle of the slices, if desired. Combine flour, sugar, milk, egg, shortening, salt and baking powder in an electric mixer. Blend until lemony white. Pour on top of fruit. Bake at 350 degrees for 40-50 minutes. When done, immediately put a serving plate on top of pan and flip. The pineapple will be on top.
