2 pounds lean ground beef
2 tsp plus 1 tbsp chili powder
1/2 tsp plus 1/2 tbsp ground cumin
2 tsp black pepper
1/2 tsp cayenne pepper or to taste
2 drops Tabasco sauce
2 links fresh smoked Mexican chorizo sausage
1 tbsp minced jalapeno pepper
3 cloves garlic minced
1 onion chopped
4 stalks celery chopped
1/2 red pepper chopped, seeded
1/2 green pepper chopped, seeded
1 16 oz. can tomato sauce
1 28 oz can tomato puree
1 28 oz can diced tomatoes
1 16 oz can kidney beans, drained

In large skillet combine beef with 2 tsp chili powder, 1/2 tsp cumin, blk pepper, cayenn and e pepper & Tabasco sauce. Cook over medium heat until meat browned. Drain, reserving 3 tbsp of fat
Slice chorizo in half lengthwise, and cut in bite-size pieces. In lg pot cook chorizo over medium heaat 4-5 minutes. Add 1-1/2 tbsp chili powder, 1/2 tbsp cumin, jalapeno pepper, garlic, onion, celery peppers and reserved fat. Cook until vegs tender. Add tomato products reduce heat to medium, cook 15 to 20 minutes, stirring occasionally. Stir in cooked beef and kidney beans, simmer 2 hours. Serve with tortilla chips, shredded cheese and scallions
