1T active dry yeast
1 ½ t sugar
1 ½ C lukewarm water
3C unsifted, unbleached flour.
1C unsifted whole wheat flour,
1 12 t salt
Oil
Corn meal

Directions:
Directions:

Dissolve the yeast and sugar in luke warm water. Combine the flours and salt. Add to the yeast mixture stirring well with wooden spoon. Knead dough on slightly floured board until it isn’t sticky. Place dough in an oiled bowl; brush top of dough with oil also. Cover and let rise until doubled (about 1 hours). After risen punch it down and turn it out onto floured board. Divide into 2 parts. Shape each part into a long narrow loaf. Place loaves on a greased cookie sheet that has been sprinkled with cornmeal. Cover and let rise about 30 minutes. Using serrated knife, make shallow diagonal slices on top. Bake 400 degrees 20-25 minutes
