2 T cooking oil
2 cloves finely chopped garlic
1/2 large yellow onion, choped
1 28 oz. can Tutterossa crushed tomatoes w/ basil
1 6 oz can tomato paste
onion powder
garlic powder
salt and pepper (to taste)
1 T basil
2 T Italian seasoning
salt and pepper to taste
2 bay leaves
light shake of oregano

Directions:
Directions:
Over med-high heat, saute 2 cloves of chopped garlic in 2 T oil for about 1 minute, until fragrant.

Add 1/2 large onion chopped, sprinkle in pepper. Saute about 8 minutes until translucent.

Add 1 28 oz. can Tutterossa crushed tomatoes w/ basil

Fill can half way with water to clean the can and get the rest of the tomato out. Add to the sauce.

Lower heat to low and add 5 shakes of onion powder and garlic powder.

Add: 1 T basil, 2 T Italian seasoning, salt and pepper to taste. 2 bay leaves,light shake of oregano and a 6 oz can tomato paste.

Simmer on low for 3 hours, stirring occasionally, keep lid ajar. When done, remove he bay leaves.

Add water if you like it thinner.
Use puree instead of crushed tomatoes if you want it smooth.
Remember to take out the bay leaves!
