Crust:
1 c. all-purpose flour
1/3 c. sugar
1/3 c. butter, softened
1 tsp. vanilla
Middle Layer:
1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened
1 egg
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
1/3 c. sugar
Top Layer:
1 large Granny Smith apple
1/3 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. cinnamon

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 400º. To make the crust: Mix flour and sugar in a mixing bowl Stir in better and vanilla until well-incorporated. Press dough into a greased 9 inch tart pan or springform pan. Set aside. To make middle layer: Beat cream cheese and egg in a large mixing bowl using an electric mixer. Add vanilla and sugar and continue beating until well-combined, scraping sides of bowl as needed. Pour mixture over crust in pan and set aside. To create the Top layer: Peel, core and cut apple into thin slices. In a mixing bowl, combine sugar and cinnamon, add apples and toss to coat with sugar-cinnamon mixture. Arrange apple slices neatly on top of unbaked tart. Bake tart 30-40 minutes, or until it is set and lightly browned. Let tart cool completely before serving.
