4 squares (1 ounce each) unsweetened chocolate
1 c. butter (no substitutes)
2 c. sugar
1 c. all-purpose flour
1/8 tsp. salt
4 eggs, beaten
1 c. chopped pecans
3 c. miniature marshmallows
Frosting:
2 squares (1 ounce each) unsweetened chocolate
1/2 c. butter (no substitutes)
1/2 c. evaporated milk
5 c. confectioners' sugar
1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
1 can (16 ounces) vanilla frosting or 2 c. vanilla frosting of your choice
Liquid or paste food coloring, optional

Directions:
Directions:
In a large saucepan, heat chocolate and butter until melted; remove from the heat. Combine sugar, flour and salt; stir into chocolate mixture. Add eggs and pecans. Pour into a greased 9 x 13 baking pan. Bake at 350º for 25-30 minutes or until brownies begin to pull away from sides of pan. Sprinkle with marshmallows; return to oven for 2-3 minutes or until marshmallows are melted. Spread with a knife; cool. In a saucepan, heat chocolate, butter and milk until chocolate and butter are melted. Remove from the heat; stir in confectioners' sugar and vanilla until smooth. Frost brownies. Refrigerate overnight. Cut into bars. Makes 2 dozen. Decorate with tinted icing if desired.
