2 Pounds Dry Kidney Beans
2 Pounds Hillshire Farms Sausage
2 Packages PicSweet Seasoning Blend (Frozen)
1 Cup Onion (Chopped)
1/2 Cup Bell Pepper (Chopped)
3 Bay Leaves
1 Tsp. Oregano
1 Tsp. Black Pepper
1/2 Tsp. Cayenne Pepper
5-6 Cloves Garlic (Peeled and Chopped)
2 Boxes Zatarain's Red Beans Seasoning Mix
2-1/2 Quarts Cold Water

Directions:
Directions:
Soak kidney beans in a bowl of cold water overnight. The next day, rinse beans and place in a pot with 2-3 quarts cold water, PicSweet seasoning blend, bay leaves, oregano, black pepper and garlic. Place lid on pot and cook until beans are tender, approximately 2-1/2 hours. Slice sausage into 1/3 inch rounds, place on cookie sheet and broil for about 10 minutes, until sausage is lightly browned. Drain and add to the red beans. Once beans are tender, mix Zatarain's seasoning in 1 cup cold water, add to red beans and stir. Turn heat to low and simmer for 20-30 minutes. Serve over steamed rice.
