4-6 cups chopped potatoes
2 cups chopped carrots
2 cups water
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp pepper
1 can cream of mushroom
2 lbs halibut chopped into chunks
1 tsp garlic
1 cup green onions
2 tbsp. butter
8 oz cream cheese
1 pint heavy cream

Directions:
Directions:
Boil potatoes, carrots, water, salt and pepper until tender. Add cream of mushroom soup and set aside. Saute halibut, garlic, chopped green onions and butter until just cooked then add soup mixture. Combine cream cheese and cream, then join with the soup mixture. Heat until hot but do not boil. Top with green onion before serving.

Freezes well.

This was recipe we collected from a friend in Alaska. You can substitute Halibut with any hearty fish you like. Salmon doesn't stay in chunks but is wonderful.
