1 c. white sugar
1/2 c. butter or margarine
2 eggs
2 tsp. vanilla
1 1/2 c. flour
1 3/4 tsp. baking powder
1/2 c. milk

Directions:
Directions:
Heat oven to 350 degrees.

Cream together sugar, butter or margarine, eggs, and vanilla.
When smooth, add flour, baking powder and milk.

This recipe makes one 8" thinnish type layer. I usually double it and make two.
It's fantastic with jam between and vanilla frosting~
