2 c. flour
1 T. baking powder
1/3 c. shortening
3/4 c. milk

Directions:
Directions:
Mix all ingredients together in a large bowl. Turn dough out onto a floured surface and quickly need 10-12 times until smooth. Pat or lightly roll dough to 1/2 inch thick. Cut dough with a 2 1/2 inch biscuit cutter and place on an untreated baking sheet. Bake 400º for 10 to 12 minutes.

DROP BISCUITS: make same as above but add 1 c. milk instead. Do not knead, roll or cut dough. Drop dough onto greased baking sheet and bake as directed above.
