1/2 c. butter
1 1/2 c. sugar
2 eggs
1 c. ripe mashed bananas (about 2 medium)
1/4 c. eggnog
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 tsp. nutmeg, divided
1/4 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp.baking soda
1 3/4 c. all purpose flour
1 tsp. baking powder.

Preheat oven to 350º In a large bowl, cream butter and sugar till it is light and fluffy. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Beat in bananas, eggnog, and vanilla. In another bowl whisk flour, baking powder, 1/4 tsp. of nutmeg, salt, and baking soda. Gradually beat mixture into banana mixture. Transfer to a greased 9 x 5 loaf pan sprinkle remaining nutmeg on top of loaf. Bake 50 - 60 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool for 10 minutes in pan before removing loaf to cool on a wire rack.
