Ingredients:
Ingredients:
1/2 Cup All Purpose Flour
1/4 Teaspoon Paprika
1/4 Teaspoon Cayenne Pepper
1/2 Teaspoon Onion Powder
1/2 Teaspoon Garlic Powder
1/4 Teaspoon Salt
10 Chicken Wings, Separated
1 Stick Melted Butter
1 Dash Garlic Powder
1/4 Cup Frank's or Crystal Hot Sauce
As Needed, Vegetable Oil For Frying

Directions:
Directions:
In a small bowl mix together the FLOUR, PAPRIKA, CAYENNE PEPPER, ONION POWDER, GARLIC POWDER and SALT.

Place the WINGS into a large bowl and sprinkle the FLOUR Mixture over them. Toss until they are evenly coated. Cover the bowl and place in the refrigerator to chill for at least 90 minutes.

Meanwhile, make your Hot Sauce by combining the Melted BUTTER with the Garlic POWDER and HOT SAUCE in the amounts you decide you like. You can also just use Hot BARBECUE SAUCE and enjoy these WINGS.

When ready, add enough OIL to your pan or skillet to just cover the WINGS and heat to between 375° and 400°F.

Fry the WINGS in the hot OIL for 10 to 15 minutes, or until the WINGS appear to be evenly golden brown. Remove from the heat and place the WINGS in a serving bowl. Add the Hot SAUCE Mixture and stir together to coat evenly. Serve while hot with desired condiments.

Personal Notes:
I've only been in a Hooters twice, both times on business and the client wanted to go there. I know that many wing eaters say they really like the wings at Hooters, so this is my version of making them at your own home, so you can enjoy them without having to be annoyed and distracted by those under dressed waitresses. If you like their wings, you will most certainly enjoy these. A very important part of this recipe is to chill the Wings for at least 90 minutes in the refrigerator before frying, just as mentioned in the directions. Skipping this step will not produce the same quality as following it exactly. - As for the Hot Sauce, you can use whatever you like. Some prefer just a Hot Barbecue Sauce while others like a Butter and Hot Sauce Blend. Most traditional is the Butter and Hot Sauce Blend. Even that can be tempered by changing ratios of Melted Butter with Hot Sauce, Less Butter means more Heat. You decide what works best for your family.
