1 pound lean ground beef
1 1/2 c. dried lentils, rinsed
1 c. chopped carrots
1 c. chopped onion
1 c. chopped celery
3 c. water
1 tsp. salt
Ground pepper to taste
2 cubes beef bouillon
1 jug of original V-8 juice (6-7 cups)
1 dash Worcestershire sauce
2 bay leaves (remove before serving!!!)

Directions:
Directions:
Brown beef and drain. Place meat in a big pot with lid. Add lentils, veggies, water, salt, pepper, bouillon, V-8, Worcestershire sauce and bay leaves. Cook on high until it boils. Reduce heat to low and simmer 1 1/2 - 2 hours until lentils are tender (stir occasionally). Remove bay leaves and serve with crusty French bread.
