1 cup warm water
4 yeast
1 cup butter
5 cups water
2/3 cup sugar
5 teaspoons salt
18-19 cups flour (10 + 8)
melted butter

Directions:
Directions:
Put water in a large bowl. Sprinkle with yeast. Let sit 10-15 minutes until foamy.

Meanwhile melt butter. Add water; cool to lukewarm.

Add to yeast mixture. Add sugar, salt, and 10 cups of flour. Stir 200 strokes. Add 8 cups of flour. Stir until a shaggy mass. On lightly floured surface, knead 100 times using additional white flour as needed. Place in greased bowl and turn. Cover. Let rise until doubled.

Punch down. Turn onto floured board. Shape into one large round loaf. Place in greased dutch oven. Cover and let rise until double.

Bake at 375 degrees for 50 minutes or until done (sounds hollow). Cool 15 minutes. Remove from pan to wire rack. Brush with melted butter.
