1 package of S & S simian (2 packages of ramen can be substituted)
1/2 c. of round onions sliced
1/2 c. sliced carrots
3-5 stalks of scallions,cut 2 inches long
1 1/2 c. sliced round cabbage
1/2 c. sliced kamaboko (Japanese style fishcake, its pink and white)
1/2 c. chopped char sui (Chinese style red roast pork) you can substitute 1/2 c. chopped ham
1/2 c. chopped SPAM (Yes, we love SPAM in Hawaii)
1/2 c. shrimp (optional)
1 T oil for frying

Seasoning
1/2 t. salt
1/2 t. black pepper
2 minced garlic
1/3 c. soy

Directions:
Boil noodles till just cooked, if using S & S brand simian, till it floats up in the boiling pot. If using ramen noodles, 1 1/2 minutes, over cook the noodles, its soggy :(. In a large skillet, or wok, when hot. add oil, the round onions, for two minutes. Add carrots, minute late, add noodles, stir around pan or wok. Add the seasonings, stir. add kamaboko, char sui, and spam. Then add cabbage, stir, scallions and enJoy.

At the restaurant, we only had the noodles, but y'all will get seasoning packet that come with the noodles. Use it, in place of the seasoning recipe I gave you...save time

I learned this from a cook at 9th Ave Drive Inn in high school. It wasn't on the menu. He would also threw in whatever was on hand or leftover. Just like they did back in small kine time, a much nicer term than hanna bata days (runny nose days as kiddies).
