1 C raisin
1 C sugar
1 C water
1 tsp cinnamon
dash of salt
1/4 tsp cloves
1/2 c shortening
2 C flour
1 tsp baking soda
Powdered sugar
Directions:
Directions:
Combine all 7 ingredient's in a sauce pan. Bring to a boil. Once mixture comes to a boil, turn off flame and let mixture cool. When Cool add flour and baking soda, mix well. Place on a greased 13x9 dish 350º 30 minutes cool, dust with powdered sugar (optional)

This recipe was handed down to me by my Great Aunt, Marie Eder. Aunt Marie used to make these for us when we were kids. Its a quick recipe to put together.
