1 cup (2 sticks) margarine or butter, softened
1 cup firmly packed brown sugar
1/2 cup sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
1 1/2 cup flour
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp salt (optional)
3 cups Quaker Oats (quick or old fashioned uncooked) 1 cup raisins

Directions:
Directions:
Heat oven to 350 degrees- Beat margarine/butter & sugars. Add eggs & vanilla, beat well. Combine flour,,baking soda, cinnamon & salt. Add to margarine mixture, mixing well. Stir in oats & raisins. Drop by tablespoons unto ungreased cookie sheet. Bale 10-12 min.

Makes about 4 dozen

Variations: Stir in 1 cup nuts, 1 cup semi-sweet choc pieces or 1 cup diced dried mixed fruit
