2 cups of sugar
1 cup shortening
3 eggs
8 ripe bananas
3 cups flour
1/2 tsp salt
2 tsp baking power
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 cup buttermilk
1 tsp vanilla
1/2 cup chopped walnuts

Directions:
Directions:
Mix sugar and shortening together until fluffy. Add eggs and stir until well-blended. Add and mix in bananas (Cut one end of each banana and squeeze pulp into mixture). Mix, salt, baking powder, baking soda and flour together, and then gradually add to the banana mixture. Add buttermilk, vanilla, and walnuts and mix. Spray loaf pans. Bake at 350º for 1 hour or until done.
