12 tbsp unsalted cold butter
3 cups flour
1 tsp. salt
1/3 cup shortening
8 tbsp cold water

1. Combine flour and salt
2. Using a fork or pastry cutter- cut butter and shortening into flour until consistency of little peas
3. add water one tablespoon at a time until mixed and dough forms a ball.
4. flatten dough and wrap in plastic and refrigerate for at least 1 hour.
