3 Cans Hominy (drain 2 cans of hominy
1 stick butter
1 onion
1 green pepper
1 large can sliced black olives
1 can mushrooms
1 small jar jalapeno cheese whiz

Directions:
Directions:
Cook in medium size sauce pan until cheese whiz is melted. Approximately 10 minutes.

The first time Maw-Maw served hominy at the supper table I thought she was serving me some crazy kind of corn. However, after tasting it I became instantly hooked. Hominy is a traditional southwestern dish. It is dried maize that is soaked in lye or alkali.
