3/4 c. vegetable oil
1/4 c. honey
1 c. white sugar
1 egg
2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 c. pecans - chopped
GLAZE:
1 c. confectioner's sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tbsp. mayonnaise
1 tbsp. water

Directions:
Directions:
Stir together in large bowl the oil, honey, sugar and egg. In a smaller bowl mix dry ingredients. Stir dry ingredients and nuts into mixture in large bowl. Spread evenly in greased 9x13 pan and bake in center of oven for 15-17 minutes at 350º if using an aluminum pan. If using a dark coated pan, bake at 325º for 17-20 minutes. Mix the glaze ingredients together and drizzle on honey bars while still warm. Cool. Cut into squares.

This recipe is a favorite of my family's and others who frequently request it. It uses simple ingredients that most of us have on hand--no need for a mixer, just two bowls and a wooden spatula for mixing.
