2 tbsp. butter
2 c. brown sugar
2 c. flour
2 tsp. baking soda
1 c milk
3 c. chopped dates
1 c. chopped pecans
1 tsp. vanilla
Syrup topping:
1 c. water
1 c. brown sugar
1 tbsp. butter

Directions:
Directions:
Mix together all ingredients for the dough. Pour into a greased sheet cake pan and bake at 350 for approximately 45 minutes or until center is done. Boil the syrup topping for 1 minute and pour over baked cake. Let cool and cut up into squares and layer in serving dish with whipped cream or cool whip.
